About Me

My name is Brendan Lucas, and I am the creator of my this blog, sparkadiar.

I am currently studying at La Trobe University this year, undertaking a bachelor of journalism, with the ultimate goal of becoming a journalist of some kind in the future. Whether it be in print, radio or TV, only time will tell.

Some of my many interests lie with sport which coexists with my love for media and presenting. Having been raised on AFL football at a young age this has always been a passion of mine, as a die hard Melbourne Demons fan, I can attribute it to that! Playing footy for most of my life has always been a passion and continues to be, along with sports such as tennis, soccer and skiing, the last of which has taken me to the swiss alps!

My love of media originates with sport, as I have always had a love for acting, drama and presenting in front of people at an early age, consistently being involved in public speaking and debating, and playing parts in school plays. In 2008 I volunteered as a presenter on one of Melbourne's well known youth community stations, SYN FM on their shows, the Awkward Stage and Objection. I currently co-present a radio show entitled ‘Drive’ on ’88.6 Plenty Valley FM’ fortnightly from 4-6pm. It’s lots of fun and a great way to unwind on a Friday, so be sure to tune in on the live streaming on www.pvfm.org.au, or on your radio of course.
